Legacy Giving

Anyone can leave a long-term legacy of hope. You do not need to be wealthy to make a significant gift to Criswell College. Legacy Giving is a form of charitable giving that involves contributing one’s assets through wills and estate plans while providing financial and tax benefits to the donor.

A Legacy Gift…

  • Is a future gift to enhance the work of Criswell College
  • Is a wonderful way to leave a lasting legacy in your name
  • Allows you to enjoy your gift now, while transferring the funds later
  • Ensures that Criswell can continue in its mission for years to come

There are many ways to make a legacy gift. You can remember Criswell College in your will—even just 1%—planning a gift that will take effect only after your other obligations are fulfilled, or you can make a significant gift utilizing your life insurance regardless of the size of your estate. From retirement plan designations to more specialized gift instruments such as charitable remainder trusts or charitable gift annuities, there are countless ways in which you can plan to leave a legacy through the ministry of Criswell College.

It’s never too late or too early to start planning. Let us help you find the legacy giving opportunity that is right for you. Please contact Naomi Rivera at 214-818-1322 or legacy@criswell.edu to learn more about this unique giving opportunity.

If you are already considering a legacy gift to Criswell College, we would be happy to meet with you and your attorney or financial advisor to answer questions you may have about how your gift can ensure that Criswell College is able to continue training men and women for kingdom work for years to come.

Criswell College cannot provide direct legal or financial advice related to legacy giving and advises all individuals to seek independent counsel from qualified estate planning attorneys and wealth managers before making a decision on a legacy gift. However, the Southern Baptists of Texas Foundation has qualified personnel to advise you, and at your request we will setup an appointment for you with them.

Fiscal Responsibility

Criswell College is a 501(c)(3) organization governed by a self-perpetuating board of trustees, and we believe in being good stewards of the resources entrusted to us. Criswell is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) and it is our responsibility to maintain a high level of integrity and transparency in our financial practices. We assure you that with every gift, we maintain the most stringent ethical practices.

It takes teamwork and common goals to transform culture through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Partnering with people through collaborations is what enables us to grow. We look forward to hearing from you if you are interested in partnering with us in any way.

NOTICE OF NON-DISCRIMINATION
Criswell College admits students who are Christians of good character, without regard or reference to race, national or ethnic origin, color, age, disability, or sex (except where regard to sex is required by the College’s religious tenets regarding gender and sexuality) to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.
