Criswell 360° is our Common Student Experience, a sequence of classroom and campus activities that is both challenging and supportive, crafted to ensure that every student is able to develop within themselves the core values of the college.

Criswell 360° equips Criswell students to serve the world as leaders who are Ambassadors, Cultivators, Peacemakers, Problem Solvers, and Professionals.

Year 1:  Freshmen Grow

Step up to the Criswell challenge. Launch your college experience with a general education program unlike any other—a first major in Bible and Theology. Through intellectually engaging seminars and life-shaping experiences, you will:

  • Deepen your understanding through thoughtful questions and challenging texts.
  • Find your voice through meaningful writing.
  • Build lasting relationships with professors who guide your educational journey.
  • Learn to communicate effectively.
  • Collaborate on meaningful projects.
  • Learn from diverse perspectives.
  • Develop critical thinking and pursue truth with wisdom.
  • Cultivate the skills, character, and habits to succeed in college and beyond.

Year 2:  Sophomores Go

Go out into the world through a global service opportunity. Test yourself. Learn through experience. Step fully into the learning community. Complete your first major in Bible & Theology and declare your second major.

  • Experience global issues firsthand.
  • Connect with those addressing real challenges in their communities.
  • Apply classroom learning in real-world contexts.
  • Reflect on your experiences, share insights, and grow together.
  • Seek understanding alongside people whose cultures, lives, and worldviews differ from your own.
  • Consult with professors as you shape your academic path.
  • Clarify your direction and declare your major.

Year 3: Juniors Serve

Bring your passion to ministries close to home. Serve your neighbors. Mentor younger scholars. Shape the future, your own and those around you.

  • Experience local issues firsthand.
  • Work alongside community partners addressing real challenges.
  • Apply your learning in both classroom and community settings.
  • Build common ground through reflection, listening, and dialogue.
  • Study closely with professors in your major.
  • Gain insight from alumni in your chosen field.

Year 4: Seniors Launch

Launch your ministry, drawing on everything you’ve learned and experienced. Through program-specific opportunities, step into your profession prepared to serve as a Christian leader in your calling.

  • Refine your professional skills through one or more internships.
  • Turn guidance from alumni and professors into a clear career plan.
  • Complete a capstone project that integrates and applies your learning.
  • Build an ePortfolio showcasing your Criswell experience and reflections.
  • Curate and refine your ePortfolio for future employers.
