Kendall Lyons | March 11, 2022

Criswell College President Barry Creamer has appointed Dr. Ty Kieser to Assistant Professor of Theology. Dr. Kieser will also serve as the Program Director of the Master of Arts in Theological and Biblical Studies.

Dr. Kieser earned his Ph.D. in Biblical and Theological Studies from Wheaton College in 2020. Prior to that, he earned an MDiv. and an M.A. in Systematic Theology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He has served as Guest Assistant Professor at Wheaton College since 2020.

Vice President of Academic Affairs and Professor of Theology Christopher Graham said that Kieser would assume his role August 1.

“Ty and his family will be making the transition to Dallas over the summer to begin teaching courses in the Fall 2022 semester. Dr. Kieser has impressed those of us who have met him with the way that he blends a commitment to scholarly excellence with an approachable manner and love of the Church. We look forward to having him as a colleague and member of the Criswell community,” Graham stated.

Dr. Kieser has already published and presented extensively within his areas of research: Christology, trinitarian theology, post-Reformation theology, and theology of the atonement.

Dr. Kieser is married to wife, Kate, and they have six children – Jaycee, Arawen, Tellan, BrenLea, Skyler, and Kirklyn.
