Brad Corder, an esteemed alumnus of Criswell College, holds the distinguished positions of Chief of Police and Senior Director of Physical Plant at the institution. With a commendable background in law enforcement spanning 18 years, Chief Corder’s journey commenced with the Plano Police Department, where he dedicated his nights to safeguarding the community. This invaluable experience instilled in him a profound appreciation for the selfless individuals who serve as peace officers. Recognizing the need for ministry in this field, Chief Corder pursued studies at both Criswell College and Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS), delving deep into this vital area. His educational achievements include a B.S. in Economics and Finance from the University of Texas at Dallas, an M.A. in Biblical Studies from DTS, an M.Div. from Criswell College, and he is presently on the path to completing his Doctor of Ministry at DTS. Notably, Chief Corder recently completed the rigorous law enforcement executive training program offered by the esteemed LEMIT Leadership Command College.

In January, Chief Corder unveiled his remarkable contribution to the law enforcement community with the publication of BLUE FAITH: A Bible Study for Peace Officers. Comprising six concise yet impactful chapters, this study illuminates the biblical and theological foundations of law enforcement while exploring its practical application in the lives of peace officers today. Each chapter is carefully crafted to provide biblical insights and thought-provoking questions, making it suitable for both individual reflection and collaborative, in-depth study. Targeted at all those working in law enforcement, including police, sheriffs, constables, marshals, deputies, investigators, troopers, game wardens, and special agents, BLUE FAITH has garnered acclaim at both state and national levels. Numerous law enforcement officers and study groups have embraced its teachings, employing it as an invaluable resource in their professional and spiritual growth.

Chief Corder’s fervent commitment to his faith radiates through every aspect of his life. Embracing his calling as a devoted Christ-follower, he strives to exemplify his beliefs within his family, at work, and through active service in his church. It is among the law enforcement community, however, that Chief Corder’s passion truly flourishes. As the Chief of Police at Criswell College, he diligently ensures the safety of the campus while continuing to minister to those who share the noble responsibility of safeguarding our local, state, and national communities.
