Intercultural Relations

Welcome from the Director of Intercultural Relations

Diversity is and has always been God’s idea. In scripture ethnicity plays a part in the even larger story of the Gospel message as people edify the kingdom with their rich and unique culture and history.

Criswell College is uniquely positioned to build up Christian men and women who are trained with scholarly and doctrinal integrity to engage the culture on matters pertaining to diversity and inclusion.

Through the leadership of President Barry Creamer, the Diversity Initiative allows the institution to focus Developing and Strengthening the College’s network of relationships. This will challenge our institution to reach out to underserved communities more effectively and partner with those in alignment with our mission and vision.

As Director of Intercultural Relations, I have the extraordinary task of connecting with church and community leaders and prospective and current students. Doing this helps strengthen the support of diverse populations through curriculum, programming, and staffing, identifying alumni, and expanding relationships with organizations and institutions.

Faculty, staff, and students contribute to the mission and vision of the institution as we work together to reflect the community in a local and broader context.

I’m grateful that my professional background and personal experience are being utilized to guide Criswell in this work, and I am confident that the institution is on the right path to prepare students to make a difference in the culture as they graduate to become Ambassadors, Cultivators, Peacemakers, Problem-solvers, and Professionals.
