“Do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.” (2 Timothy 4:5)

Dear Friend,

Thank you for helping Criswell College prepare students for ministry that emphasizes scholarship tethered to the Bible and a heart for evangelism and missions.

When you support Criswell College through prayer and financial gifts, you are faithful to our Lord Jesus who said, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few, therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest,” (Luke 10:2).

Evangelism and missions are taught by our professors, and “caught” by our students, every semester.  Consider what has happened in just the last month: Criswell students, faculty, and staff went out on October 12th for a day of evangelism in the college neighborhood—27 people prayed to receive Christ! Then, on October 31st, our students gave out over 4,500 evangelistic tracts to “Trick or Treaters” and their parents. This past weekend we hosted a block party as a ministry to our neighbors in the East Dallas area.  Over 900 people attended and 25 people gave their lives to Christ!

On top of this, every Criswell student takes a required missions course before they graduate that includes an international mission trip. We are committed to Dr. W.A. Criswell’s founding vision for the school, “This above all else, the saving of the lost!”

As we approach the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons there is no better way to celebrate God sending His Son to “seek and to save the lost” than giving financially to enable that mission. Know that every gift to Criswell College goes toward that great cause of training Christian workers to do evangelism and missions.

Please pray about what God would do through your giving again as we approach the end of another calendar year. All gifts received by December 31st are tax deductable for 2011.

Yours in His service,

Jerry A. Johnson

President, Criswell College
