Criswell College has been accredited since 1985 by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the Associate of Arts, the Bachelor of Arts, and the Master of Arts degrees.

Criswell College is approved for the training of eligible veterans under the GI Bill education benefits, Title 38, U. S. Code. Interested parties should contact the Department of Veterans Affairs or the college's veteran's representative in the Financial Aid Office.

Criswell College is authorized by the Immigration and Naturalization Service, under Federal law, to enroll non-immigrant international students.

Administrators of the College maintain memberships in various regional and professional academic associations.

Members of the faculty hold memberships with professional and scholarly societies, such as: the Evangelical Theological Society, Institute for Biblical Research, Society of Biblical Literature, American Schools of Oriental Research, Language Association of America, Christian Association for Psychological Studies, the Evangelical Homiletics Society, and others.

Criswell College is The Affiliated College of the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention.
