How to Apply

Criswell College SCHOOL CODE FOR FILING THE FAFSA IS: 04121800

All application materials should be fully completed no later than 30 days BEFORE advanced registration begins. Otherwise, the student will be expected to make payment arrangements with the Cashier's Office using personal resources at the time of registration. Late aid applications will be processed after registration if/when aid becomes available.

The priority deadline for a student to complete his/her application in order to receive MAXIMUM Federal and/or Criswell financial aid is April 15th.

All students seeking Federal and/or Criswell financial aid MUST be in a degree-seeking program.

1. COMPLETE THE FAFSA.   TheFree Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available in paper form upon request from the Office of Financial Aid, or from a local high school. We highly recommend that students fill this out online by going to the website: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov   **Please note that applying by mail is a lengthier process, so please allow four to six weeks for processing.

If the student named Criswell College as a school to receive his/her FAFSA information, this information will be received via an electronic Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR). The student will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) upon completion of FAFSA processing by the government.

2. COMPLETE THE Criswell Supplemental Application for Financial Aidalso available from the Office of Financial Aid.  This supplementary application must be submitted annually by every financial aid applicant.

3. RESEARCH POSSIBLE OUTSIDE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS.

Some students may be selected for verification. If selected, this process is required by the U.S. Department of Education for students to receive federal aid. If selected the student will have to submit additional documentation as requested by the Office of Financial Aid
