**NOTE: Constitution Day is a national holiday celebrated to ensure that students in our country gain an increased knowledge and appreciation for the Constitution of the United States of America. Observed on September 17th of each year, the day coincides with the date that the delegates of the Constitutional Convention signed the document in Philadelphia in 1787. In December 2004, the United States Congress passed legislation requiring that all educational institutions that receive federal funds implement educational programs relating to the United States Constitution in commemoration of Constitution Day. This year, the Financial Aid Office will recognize Constitution Day the week of September 17, 2014.
In celebration of Constitution Day, Criswell College will participate in the following activities:
a. Tuesday, September 16, 2014 - Mike Rodgers as a speaker for the Constitution Day convocation during Chapel, using knowledge of the life and legacy of our nation president(s) to illustrate the passion and “fire” that Americans need to have for Christ and the Christians principles the founding fathers intended the United States to have.
b. An All American Lunch will be served after Thursday chapel – burgers, hotdogs, chips or fries, ice cream, apple pie, tea, Coke and Dr. Pepper.
