Academic Scholarships

President's Academic Scholarship

  • Undergraduate (Up to $600): A limited number of scholarships are available. A recipient must have a minimum ACT of 25 or an SAT of 1000. High School CGPA must be 3.5 or higher and must be in the top 25% of graduating class. Renewal CGPA must be 3.5 or higher.
  • Graduate (Up to $400): A limited number of scholarships are available. A recipient must have a minimum cumulative GRE of 1200, to include the verbal and either the analytical or quantitative sections, and/or a minimum CGPA of 3.25 on his/her last bachelor degree earned from a recognized, accredited college or university. Renewal CGPA must be 3.25 or higher.

 

Provost’s Academic Scholarship

  • Undergraduate (Up to $300): A limited number of scholarships are available. A recipient must have a minimum ACT of 23 or an SAT of 950. High School CGPA must be 3.0 or higher and must be in the top 40% of graduating class. Renewal CGPA must be 3.0 or higher.
  • Graduate (Up to $200): A limited number of scholarships are available. A recipient must have a minimum cumulative GRE of 1100, to include the verbal and either the analytical or quantitative sections, and/or a minimum CGPA of 3.0 on his/her last bachelor degree earned from a recognized, accredited college or university.  Renewal CGPA must be 3.0 or higher.

 

Leadership Grants

Church Matching Grant

  • Undergraduate (Up to $500): A limited number of grants are available for The Criswell College to match the scholarship assistance given in the name of an enrolled student by a church. Part-time students can receive up to $250. Renewal CGPA must be 2.5 or higher.
  • Graduate (Up to $300): A limited number of grants are available for The Criswell College to match the scholarship assistance given in the name of an enrolled student by a church. Part-time students can receive up to $150. Renewal CGPA must be 2.5 or higher.

 

Vocational Ministry Grant

  • Undergraduate (Up to $500): A limited number of scholarships are available. A recipient must be enrolled full-time at The Criswell College while being employed full-time in a church related ministry position. High school CGPA must be 2.5 or higher. Transfer CGPA must be 2.5 or higher. Renewal CGPA must be 2.5 or higher.
  • Graduate (Up to $300): A limited number of scholarships are available. A recipient must be enrolled full-time at The Criswell College while being employed full-time in a church related ministry position. Transfer CGPA must be 2.5 or higher. Renewal CGPA must be 2.5 or higher.

 

Christian Experience Grant

  • Undergraduate (Up to $300): A limited number of scholarships are available. A recipient must have served in a leadership capacity in a church for at least one year prior to enrollment. Award will be prorated for part-time enrollment. High School CGPA must be 2.5 or higher. Transfer CGPA must be 2.5 or higher. Renewal CGPA must be 2.5 or higher, with continued service in a leadership capacity.
  • Graduate (Up to $200): A limited number of scholarships are available. A recipient must have served in a leadership capacity in a church for at least one year prior to enrollment. Award will be prorated for part-time enrollment. Transfer CGPA must be 2.5 or higher. Renewal CGPA must be 2.5 or higher, with continued service in a leadership capacity.

 

Southern Baptists of Texas Convention

  • (Amounts Vary): The S.B.T.C. offers a limited number of scholarships for students attending the College from S.B.T.C. affiliated churches. Applications are submitted to the S.B.T.C. via the College and approved by the S.B.T.C.

 

Skill Grants

 

Student Service Grant

  • Undergraduate/Graduate (Amounts Vary): Must be elected/selected to serve on the Student Service Team, as a College Ambassador, or as a grader. Renewal CGPA must be 2.5 or higher. Must remain in good standing and perform duties associated with the scholarship.

 

W. A. Criswell Scholarship

  • Undergraduate/Graduate (Amounts Vary): A limited number of grants are available for students with demonstrated financial need. Part-time students may be considered. Renewal CGPA must be 2.5 or higher. Must remain in good standing and making progress toward a degree.

 

Missionary Dependent Grant

  • Undergraduate (Up to $1000): A limited number of grants are available for dependents of full-time, active, career missionaries. The student must be a legal dependent of the missionary. Renewal CGPA must be 2.5 or higher.

 

Work Study Grants

  • Undergraduate/Graduate (Amounts Vary): A limited number of grants are available for students with demonstrated financial need. Awards will be fully applied to the student’s account balance after work has been completed.

 

Students Recruiting Students (SRS)

  • Undergraduate/Graduate (Amounts Vary): Every student knows a number of persons in his/her sphere of influence who could benefit from educational programs and student services offered through the College. With this in mind, TCC invites students to be a part of our extended Admissions Team and earn a financial aid credit. Special criteria apply to SRS financial aid.
