M.A.C. at NIGHT
Criswell College is thrilled to announce the new M.A.C. at Night program! Now, you too can have a M.A.C.!
What is M.A.C. at Night? M.A.C. at Night is a Master of Arts in Counseling degree earned by attending evening block classes. The program offers non-licensure and licensure options for those who want to expand their ministry or begin a new career path. These courses are all Christ-centered and custom-scheduled with the working professional in mind.
The non-licensure program is achieved with a 36-hour course credit. This option is best for those who serve or plan to serve specifically in a Christian and/or church ministry setting. The licensure program is a 48-hour degree plan that prepares students for the state licensure exam and/or continuing studies at the doctoral level.
Whatever your current vocation or how hectic your schedule, you can now work your way to having a M.A.C.!
M. Div. MONDAYS
Criswell College also announces the One Day M. Div. Program. You can now complete your entire Master's degree by attending class only on Mondays!
Why should I attend the M. Div. program? The Criswell College Master of Divinity Program prepares graduate students for a lifetime of effective ministry. The program can also serve as preparation for doctoral studies.
Am I qualified for the program? Bachelor's graduates need no pre-requisites to enter the M. Div. Program. Students who have completed undergraduate work in biblical studies may qualify for advanced standing in this program.
How does the program work? All you have to do is be on campus for class one day a week. Master of Divinity concentrations include: Pastoral Ministry, Evangelism, Jewish Studies, Pastoral Care and Counseling, New Testament, Philosophy, and Interdisciplinary Studies. You can take classes in: Bible, Greek, Hebrew, New Testament, Old Testament, Counseling, Hermeneutics, Spiritual Foundations, Systematic Theology, Philosophy, Evangelism, Missions, Preaching, and more.
M.A.C.L.
The Master of Arts in Christian Leadership (M.A.C.L.) is designed to provide basic theological and ministry education for persons who want to be better equipped for ministry but have little or no previous theological education. Upon successful completion of this degree plan, the student will exhibit the skills, knowledge, and leadership abilities to successfully lead the educational ministry of a local church.
The M.A.C.L. is intended primarily for lay persons, especially those who have limited time to attend graduate school. Its design also qualifies a missionary candidate whose mission board requires a year of graduate theological education for appointment (e.g. those undertaking specialized assignments, such as in medicine or agriculture). Applicants choose from two specialized program tracks available: Spiritual Leadership or Educational Leadership.
The M.A.C.L. program involves campus and occasional off-campus classes. The class size is intentionally designed for a high professor/student interaction. Due to the nature of this ministry course, students are given opportunities to implement their skills in local ministries and get experience in working with other students in a team fashion similar to that of a church staff. Students are also trained to be effective as individual ministry leaders, should they ever be the sole leader of a ministry. The students choose from two tracks for their study focus: Spiritual Leadership or Educational Leadership.
The M.A.C.L. program is offered each fall and spring term, as well as the January and summer terms. Classes are from 7:00-9:30PM (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings). With a convenient schedule of evening classes, students are able to map out a simple degree completion plan. Course materials are also available.
